Port Augusta to Coober Pedy

Wednesday 22 June 2016 - Day 4

We are so dragging the wet weather with us ! Admittedly it's not as cold as home - however the camper has been christened with rain every night so far.....
Fabulous drive north to Coober Pedy - incredible how the landscape slowly changes into the arid, rocky outcrops with the mounds of rock everywhere close to Coober Pedy.

The kids explored a track that lead to an old burnt out caravan - ooh you never know what tresures you may find in there huh Huges !! Eves came back with a rusty grater - ever so helpful our Mrs is !

Roadside lunch stop - espresso stovetop brewing - yeah...so lovely so soak up the surrounds with no-one near us...the space and openess is such bliss. Just a different level of space to home....and yeah I know you're all saying "How's the serenity !!' .....its simply spectacular. Feeling really relaxed today - everyones happy to be on the road together and we're getting used to the new camper.

Road was open near our lunch stop - to Tarcoola....dirt will come for us later in the trip. Will be great to visit Coober Pedy again and see what the kids think of it all too. Nan has given me a ring she brought from their in the late 80's to get an opal replaced - I suspect I'll have plenty to choose from ! We are cheering on the sunny skies that's for sure....
