A short day to Bedourie ....
Mon 4 July - Day 16
80km short run to Bedourie today and we set up all over again....really small and beautiful little town. Great spot for a chillax and unwind.
The Bedourie Royal Hotel is one of two original buildings still standing from the late 1880's - cracker of a pub....and comes with old soul roaming dog too - he was gorgeous!
Fabulous artesian spa... great facilities and available for free..such a relaxing time in the spa.
These little pots were brilliant - i loved they were rolled on the curve...super idea for the deck at home.
The best weather we had in the end was at Bedourie - so the shorts made it out of the drawer for about 4 hours on this day !! Chips and beer as the sun went down with a convenient playground 50m to the left of the photo...brilliant and a win-win for all!
Earth rammed mud house from the late 1880's too I think - wow ! The other oldest building in Bedourie, with red earth floor and all. Amazing...I can't begin to imagine what it would have been like living in Bedourie during this time...so isolated and as a woman....seriously tough country.
