Cooper Creek to Quilpie !

Wed 6 July - Day 18

An easy drive today through to Quilpie...this was a town we stopped briefly in one sunday arvo last year and had a fabulous feel to it....this was confirmed today! Great town...really vibrant and truly I was very excited to get to Foodworks and pick up some fresh fruit and vege that we'd not seen much of the last 5 days or so since leaving Alice. 

We had a great afternoon and had a look around town - found some great coffee and cruised for the arvo, the kids and I enjoyed a hot artesian spa too. Had dinner at the Imperial which was fabulous , we all enjoyed this and it was a busy night. We thought it was Origin night....nothing like being a week early though...heheh

This pic doesn't do it justice at all .... cute little sheep in the main street made out of horseshoes...crackers !

And only 1 sleep till we are back at Yowah ! Woo hoo
